What are apprenticeship programs?

Code Rush apprenticeship programs are professional development programs for specific tech roles hosted by Code Rush with a partner employer. Selected apprentices receive professional skill training focused on increasing their employability along with placement opportunities.

Who is eligible to participate in an apprenticeship program?

Bachelor’s or master’s students who are in the final year of their college, recent graduates, or professionals who are looking for a career switch are eligible to participate in an apprenticeship program. Interested candidates must be eligible to work in Nepal and should pass the screening for being accepted.

How long does an apprenticeship program typically last?

Typically, apprenticeship programs last for 2 to 6 months. Usually, the program length varies for each program and depends on the role’s skill requirement and the hiring urgency of the employer.

What are the benefits of participating in an apprenticeship program?

The apprentices receive many benefits as a part of the apprenticeship programs. They receive curated learning resources focused on enhancing their technical competencies in addition to coaching from industry professionals. Also, they receive soft-skill training focused on increasing their employability. As the apprentices are trained to hire by the partner employer company, you have a high chance of placement right after you complete the apprenticeship program.

Do I need to commute every day to the office?

No, you are generally required to commute every day to the office. Usually, you are asked to commute once or twice to the office. However, if there are special circumstances, you might be called to the office every day for a certain period. If this occurs, it happens only towards the end of the programs.

Will I need to pay to join the apprenticeship?

No, the apprentices do not pay anything to join the apprenticeship program.

Will I receive a salary during my apprenticeship?

While a full salary is not offered, allowances are provided on a per-visit basis. When the apprentices need to commute to the office, they will be provided with an allowance for covering their transportation and food costs. The allowances will not be provided on each visit. The total allowance amount for a certain month will be summed up and provided as a lump sum in the following month.

What kind of training and education will I receive during my apprenticeship?

The learning path for each apprenticeship program comprises off-the-shelf learning resources, coaching classes with industry professionals, projects, labs, assignments, etc.

How will my progress be assessed during my apprenticeship?

The apprentices are assigned weekly goals. All apprentices must complete their weekly tasks on time. The relevant project coordinator keeps track of your tasks and training class attendance. In addition, the assignments, projects, and tests are graded to assess apprentice progress.

What kind of job opportunities will be available to me after completing my apprenticeship?

The best-performing apprentices are hired by the partner employer of the respective apprenticeship program. In addition to the partner employer, Code Rush provides placement opportunities in other partner companies of Code Rush.

How do I apply for an apprenticeship program?

Fill out the application form for the respective apprenticeship program of your choice via the Code Rush website.

Will I receive a certification or credential upon completing my apprenticeship?

Yes, the apprentices will receive a certificate of completion and access to Code Rush’s placement process upon the completion of their apprenticeship.

Will I be able to work full-time or part-time during my apprenticeship?

Generally, we advise our apprentices to not take other full-time or part-time jobs during the apprenticeship program but if the apprentices commit to completing the tasks and activities of apprenticeship programs, you can join our apprenticeship program. However, the apprentices must be ready to join our partner employer if a job offer is extended to them at the end of the apprenticeship.
